New One Year Contract From Manchester United for Ryan Gigs

Ryan Giggs, wales football player, has agreed a new one-year contract extension with Manchester United. Automatically he will play for The Red Devil at Old Trafford until June 2010.

Giggs, who made his first team debut for the club for nearly 18 years, said the English and European champions' official website: "I feel fit and I am enjoying my football more than ever.

"This is a young, exciting and spirit in the dressing room is great. I want to be part of this and achieve even greater success."

Giggs scored the only goal in Sunday's 1-0 Premier League win at West Ham and manager Sir Alex Ferguson paid tribute to his professionalism.

"Ryan is a true professional's game," said Ferguson. "Her lifestyle, the way they take care of himself, his desire to always want to win is a credit to him and also a source of inspiration for any young person who wants to become a footballer.

"He is like a child in the way they play and, although he wants to play all the games, it is understood that by using his experience in what matters is profit for him and the team.

"It would be easy for him to become complacent after all he has achieved, but he is not and that says a lot about why the club wants to expand its services and use that experience."

Giggs has won the Premier League title 10 times during his career with United, the club on track to secure the championship again this season.
